Bachmann to announce Monday

(CNN) – Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota will formally announce her candidacy for president Monday in Waterloo, Iowa, where she was born.

A GOP source confirms to CNN the date of the announcement, which was first reported Tuesday evening by the Huffington Post. The Bachmann campaign has not confirmed the report, but tells CNN details of the announcement will be released Wednesday morning.

Neither the date nor the timing is a huge surprise. Bachmann made news at a CNN/WMUR/New Hampshire Union Leader GOP presidential debate on June 13, saying that “I filed my paperwork to seek the office of the presidency of the United States today. And I’ll soon be making my formal announcement.”

And a few days earlier, Bachmann told reporters and supporters in Iowa that she would make an announcement regarding her candidacy later in June, and that she would make that announcement in Waterloo, her birthplace.

So unfortunately there will most likely and regrettably be some unintended casualties and victims of her "lazer-guided eyes", but then Rethugs have quite vividly demonstrated that they have and can be more than willing to accept any "collateral damage" that may occur to those who are completely innocent and just inadvertently "got in harm's way", and/or were in the wrong place at the right time...
