Looks like AARP didn't cancel my membership even though I told them to.
Still getting emails. Still can access my account on the website. I'm going to call again tomorrow see if this is just a breakdown between their online operations and the brick-and-mortar one, or are they just ignoring requests to cancel. I'm paid up until 2014.

1. I do not trust AARP
Since they were with Bush on changing medicare several years ago. AARP is in it for the money, they are nothing but a big insurance company who will tell you they care about seniors, but that is far from the truth. All they want to do is sell you insurance.
