An Omaha woman pleaded no contest Tuesday to a misdemeanor electioneering violation in connection with an effort to recruit homeless voters during the failed mayoral recall attempt this year.

Cheryl Wheeler, 51, was fined $50.

Wheeler worked for Forward Omaha, a group that campaigned to keep Mayor Jim Suttle in office.
