20. I adore Austin
I've been lucky enough to live there twice and Dallas once. I'm back home in NC these days. We're dryer than a popcorn fart, too. Mid- to upper 90s and no measurable rain for a month.

So much for my garden, it seems... sigh.

I've done everything but dance nekkid in the back yard to the rain gods. I'd go ahead and do it but I'm afraid all I'd accomplish is to scare the wildlife off.

8. Which brings a good question
Why isn't all that water diverted to Texas via canals/acquaducts? Couldn't that help Texas out?

11. The republicans say the country is broke
You really think they want to spend money on this country??
They would rather see all the people die, except the rich.........
Or just survive enough so they can make money off of them

Great Lakes Water Levels Dropping

December 13th, 2010 at 4:00 am by Bill Steffen under Bill's Blog, Weather <–Grand Haven picture by Mike Slootmaker.

The water levels of the Great Lakes have been dropping. Lake Michigan has seen the biggest drop, down 4 inches in the past month and 14 inches in the past year. Since each inch of water on Lake Michigan represents 390 billion gallons of water, that means a loss of 5.46 TRILLION (sounds like a stimulus package or a Wall St. bailout, or how many years until the Lions win a Super Bowl) gallons of water!

18. Uh oh
Did someone in your area kill a rattlesnake?
That will cause drought.
Go out to where the snakes live, and ask their forgiveness. You dont have to use words, just feel it in your heart.
It also helps to leave the snakes a little bit of marijuana. It keeps them mellow.
