1. He won't take hard left turns without a primary challenger - he won't have to.

10. 0bama lies. He lied about Gitmo - still open. He lied about
ending the wars - he started two new ones.

He lied about gay marriage - he signed a questionnaire supporting it for political benefit, then changed his mind.

He lied about repealing the Bush tax cuts.

Seriously, who can trust this guy?

17. Apparently a lot of DUers still "trust this guy" - imo it's foolish to trust politicians.

14. Sorry, but he does not need to have a primary challenger to lose
the left wing of the party and progressive independents.

16. It's pretty clear from comments made by his team that they think...
...the left will fall into line, which is why they have no problem bashing the left.

22. True, and imo he's going in the direction he means to go...
...along with a lot of other "Dems."

We have two corporate parties and no party that represents traditionally liberal ideas. The sooner we accept that, the sooner we'll collectively do something about it.

24. Correction. We have no political party that represents the average citizen.
Neither "We the people..." nor "Consent of the governed" are in force.

For in reason, all government without the consent of the governed is the very definition of slavery.

7. Prediction: When this doesn't come true, you won't post a thing
about it. I expect that President Obama will say much the same as he's always said.

25. Nice job of setting him up so that no matter what he says or does
you win. If he tacks left, you'll say, see I told ya so, he's doesn't mean it he's just lying. If he tacks right, you'll say, see I told ya so.

Nicely done.

12. I don't even think he'll do that. The Left is nolonger much of a concern for him, IMO- it's all...
...about the Center now. As I've been saying for a while, based on his actions I have every reason to believe that Obama successfully rode the Left into the Presidency and intends to court the Center for a re-election in 2012. And this would necessitate the kind of distancing from many issues associated with the Left and playing more Center/Center Right.

I predict that if he wins in 2012, it will be by a huge number of votes. They Democrats are forced to vote for him or stay home on election day, so there's a pretty big chunk, and then the Center/Center Right added as another layer on top. How thick that second layer of votes would be, I can't really say. I think it depends on who the Republican candidate is. But if the GOP candidate is weak or inarticulate, I see President Obama cleaning up chips from the center of the table.

33. I hate to say this, but ...
... unless there is somebody challenging Obama in a primary and beating him for the Democratic nomination, I will only have the choice of voting for the lesser of two evils (Obama).
