Does anyone know about a lawsuit involving
failure to file and pay for deed of trust nationwide since the 1980's?

5. Seems that for years county clerks and others have not been
getting the small amount they should have for filing all the deeds of trust that have changed hands endless amounts of times during the so called housing bubble, etc. These payments have the potential to be worth billions to local and state entities. Most of the legal agents involved have been reluctant to file suit, except for one state.

11. BS, they are not intitled to that, the deeds are recorded under MERS and stay that way

There is no changing in who is recording the deed.

3. Could you be referring to litigation against MERS?
Google "MERS class action" and drill down on some of those hits.

4. Yes I think that it is it. I will goggle but do you have any
info on it yourself and if so do you think it has any merit? Just heard about this yesterday and am really interested in it. Thanks.

8. Many lenders use the private registry MERS when they sell or trade away their loans.
Some creative lawyers theorize that this practice bypasses state recording laws and has rendered the underlying debts unenforceable.

No, I don't think it has any merit, and has given too many delinquent debtors false hope.

9. No, but it is strange that there is so little interest in this.
