French proposal: any URL to be arbitrarily blacklisted without due process
This is just not a good thing, and hopefully it won't pass. http://www.boingboing.net/2011/06/15/french-proposal-any.html

Whenever I see someone saying they need to put the mechanics of censorship into place to "protect children" I am reminded of a phrase a friend of mine coined: "Children are the crowbar of fascism".

1. sheesh
Guess I forgot to put Congressman Weiner's name in the subject line.

Trends toward internet censorship: non-issue. I'll try to remember to stick to other people's private sex lives when posting in the future.

3. Not every thread gets a good response.

It has a lot to do with the title. Sorry. You need more info in the title. Then, you need to describe what the story is about and what it says. We can quote up to 4 paragraphs here. If you don't, most people who open your thread will just move on. Getting people to click links is hard if you don't supply some additional information.
