The Republican Party Declares War on the American People; Time to Fight Back
http://www.opednews.com/articles/The-Republican-Party-Decla-by-michael-payne-110613-223.html

The American people better heed the warning signs. The leadership of the Republican Party is making no secret of the fact that they intend to strip away any and all entitlements that exist to benefit Americans in need; this is a major part of the process by which they are waging war on the American people and this society. These arrogant, swaggering bullies and their corporate masters want to control America; that cannot be allowed to happen.

The GOP now controls the U.S. House of Representatives, the site where they conduct their war operations. In the Senate they have used the power of the filibuster to make a mockery of the responsibility of that body to enact important and meaningful legislation. Their next objective is to control both houses of Congress and the White House through the 2012 elections; and if they do, then it will trigger an all out, open war against the people.

If this is a war then how and where, in specific terms, is it being waged? To make that determination let's examine the agenda and strategies that the Republicans in Congress are using to achieve their objectives:

War Against Senior Americans

By now all Americans must be fully aware that the GOP is bent on drastically reducing or even eliminating Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, programs that have greatly benefited millions of Americans for many years. If they take control and have the power, they will see that any and all services of this kind will be shifted to and administered by the pirate health care corporations and the Wall Street manipulators. They care not for the welfare of the people, only the interests of their corporate masters.

1. It is a war and dems are losing
How difficult would it be to remind people how the elderly fared before social security and medicare?

3. It is, isn't it. So often the dems solution is to move further to the right, and as
the blue dogs found out in 2010, people will vote for the real thing, not a blue dog. I wish the dems we elect had more guts. Many dems today are an embarrassment when compared to dems of years past.

Many people poured out in support of the dems in 2008. My gut feeling is this will not happen in 2012. If the employment situation changes, maybe, but IMO many people feel all the dems have done is propped up the same trickle down voodoo economic system. True or not true, that's the way many people think. Many might be so frustrated they will vote republican just in hope things will change.

I sadly don't view this coming decade in a very optimistic way.
