The BP Gulf Oil Spill Didn't Freak Me Out The Way Fukushima Reactor Meldown/throughs Have
With the BP Oil Spill, the end game was known. It would take months and the environment would take a hit but it would also rebound. Thank goodness the Hail Mary pass worked and ended that mess sooner.

With the Fukushima Daiichi Meltdowns and Melt-throughs, I don't see an end game, haven't heard of one even being discussed and can't imagine the environment recovering in my lifetime or for several lifetimes.

This is what freaks me out. I haven't heard any plan that gets this under control nor one that cleans up the mess so Nature can start regenerating.

Is there a plan, I just haven't heard it? Or are these reactors in Japan going to be open festering sores spreading radioactive isotopes into the foreseeable future?

1. I've already started mutating
But that's me; I've always responded to crises by evolving quickly.

2. The controversy in the Nineties was "Susie's Got Two Mommies."
In my children's and grandchildren's future it will be "Susie's Got Two Heads." We adapt. We evolve.

We try to make light so that we don't otherwise go insane.

3. It should have--nothing in your first paragraph is substantiated.
The hail mary didn't work, and the mess didn't end--unless you just mean the media coverage of the spill. The reality will be with us down here for decades.

5. I wouldn't eat Gulf shrimp anytime soon. Or swim there.
And Fukushima is exactly as bad as every nightmare you are having about it. Just nobody is bothering to mention it in the MSM.

But you really should be paying attention to what is happening with the Missouri and Mississippi rivers because that mess is going to affect food supply in the US and a whole lot of other things.

Meanwhile, LOOK AT THE WEINER!
