Gawker obtained a training video that Target uses to warn its employees about the danger of joining a union.

The 13-milute video titled “Think Hard Before You Sign” is hosted by Doug and Maria, two actors posing as Target employees.

“We’re a target because we’re a threat to unions,” Doug claims. “The unions that represent grocery store workers.”

1. We live in a time where corporations like Target are hurting America
by being anti-democracy.

2. How do they force them to watch it? Do they pin their eyes open like in Clockwork Orange?
I would be sound asleep and snoring soon as I sat down. Be a 13-minute nap for me.

5. They've been doing this for years. People who think they're avoiding the Wal-Mart crap by shopping
at Target are fooling themselves.

8. Good to see this re-surface...
Some other sites had it about 2-3 years ago, and Target lawyers had them all wiped...

9. The "labor relations" guy looked like a Nazi. No smiles from him.
Thanks for posting link. Typical anti-union BS. Warning "with a smile" at initial hire. That Target "labor relations" guy seemed to look kind of like Nazi-ist to me. Creepy!

13. Well technically they are not being forced.
but I expect if someone is a new hire at Target they are probably so desperate for a job, any job, that refusing to watch and getting fired is not something they feel like they can choose.

14. If you look closely, you can probably see where they pasted Target logos
on top of the Walmart ones in the original version. :eyes:
