Weiner will do all the late night talk shows and his hosts will clap him on the back for staying focused on his job; they will commiserate with him for the tough times he's been through. Letterman will do a Top Ten countdown of puns on Weiner's name.

2012 is shaping up as a wild and woolly year, and people will look back on Weinergate with actual nostalgia.

This silliness called Weinergate will be hailed for its comit relief, and Weiner himself won't suffer. In fact, there will be suspicions that he provoked the abuse just to make his name a household word. Everybody now knows who Congressman Weiner is.
