For those complaining about "DLC" Democrats calling for Weiner's resignation...
Can you point to one progressive Democrat who's standing up for him? I can't.

2. Charlie Rangel, this morning on NBC - NY. Others aren't saying
anything. Isn't that possible because there's nothing to say?

BTW...with all of his scandals, Rangel swept his seat.

4. here's what my more-progressive-than-Weiner rep had to say:
Host) Congressman Peter Welch says the confessed behavior of New York Representative Anthony Weiner is "outrageous, reprehensible and inexcusable."

9. Representative Welch to YOU.
and yes, he's already been involved in attacking Thomas- and dozens of other endeavors- many of them actual legislative. He wasn't busy sexting; he was actually working on behalf of progressive causes. duh.

18. Vermont's Leahy calls for Weiner to step down
U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont says he thinks a resignation by New York Congressman Anthony Weiner would be in the best interests of his constituents and the U.S. House.

7. Well, yes. Charlie Rangel did. Disappointed in Sherrod Brown, though, who joined the chorus
of Democrats calling for his resignation. I think it's because Sherrod is running for reelection and doesn't want his Rethug opponent to hand the "Weiner Albatross" around his neck.

14. Bernie said it was up to him to decide what to do.
Not a ringing endorsement but not jumping into the pearl clutching either. Maybe the CPC is actually doing their none-penis-related job right now.

10. My take is that most liberal media and maybe a majority
of the leftie electorate are saying he should remain in Congress which makes it peculiar that none in Congress are standing behind him. It sort of shows how out of touch they are with the people in their districts. My own thoughts and they are only my opinion is it's because of his wife. She is part of Hillary Clinton's posse and is well liked and well regarded in Washington, D. C.. So they seem to be taking sides.

Make your case, don't use smear.

And think the American people should hear it also.

13. Thank God the DLC is around to shift focus back to Weiner
when Palin's emails were about to grab the headlines. Where would we be without that kind of vigilance? Goodness knows, there's no resolving a problem of this magnitude without wading out into the press and extending it for another week.
