Help Me Think This Out... Are Pelosi And Wasserman Schultz Setting A Dangerous Precedent ???
I mean... if a Dem Congressperson with a drinking or prescription drug problem decide to get help to deal with those problems, will THEY be asked to resign their seats?

What about anybody having an affair?

What if it becomes divulged that leadership knew of such problems and did NOTHING... until the RW found out and publicized it? Does leadership have to resign?

Can you think of any other booby-traps they may be setting for themselves and the Party?

2. I don't think so.
Somehow, there is more acceptance of having the other problems and having treatment for them. AW's mess, combined with his name itself, are sort of breaking new ground. I think both Pelosi and Wasserman Schultz-- in their positions-- can see more disadvantages by letting this slide.

3. We are in complete agreement on this.
Capitulating to the sleazy bully tactics of Breitbart is hardly the kind of leadership we need.

4. Some of these folks are either so scared of shadows and bumps in the night or have little scruples
to my way of thinking as to be in all effect, if not intention, working for the opposition.

Memo to both of these alleged "leaders": THERE. ARE. LARGER. FUCKING. ISSUES. If they won't drop it and move onto, oh, I don't know, LARGER ISSUES, THEY SHOULD FUCKING RESIGN FOR WASTING OUR TIME AND OUR TAXPAYER MONEY. Fucking Christ on a stick. :grr:

Oh, and to be fair, Weiner needs to do what he's going to do and STFU about it.

6. I don't know about Debbie but Nancy set a dangerous precident when
She refused to impeach Dumbfuck. She is just another tool in the box of our corporate overlords. Anthony rocked the boat and the overlords are taking him out. Just like Siegleman and Spitzer. Pelosi is part of the problem, not part of the solution.

7. This is like talking to my middle schoolers.
They keep trying to tell me what they think I want to hear, instead of just saying what's on their minds. Memo to Pelosi: stop pandering and act like a fucking grown-up. You just MIGHT get respect in place of mockery and derision.

9. maybe go another decade and more before another dem does this shit....
whereas the repugs are serial repeaters

i really am not a fan of weiner resigning.

i dont care that he takes a break and think, and maybe re prioritizes. i dont think it will hurt him

but there is something to be said with having a hard line here. dems do so well, comparatively speaking.

10. It's "Gotchya!" politics at it's ugliest and most pathetic.
Weiner put his stuff on the internet. The vultures are fighting for air time on the networks.

11. We have a Speaker of the House who has an
untreated drinking problem and no one is asking him to resign on either side of the aisle. I believe Boehner should fall under the same scrutiny.
