Johnson upset that Weiner is getting so much attention
Wis. GOP Sen. Johnson calls on Weiner to resign
(AP) – 23 hours ago

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin has become the first Republican senator to call on U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner (WEE'-ner) to resign.

Johnson told ABC's "Topline" on Thursday that he wished Weiner would resign "to get that story off the front page." He says the controversy distracts from pressing economic issues.

Weiner has repeatedly said he won't step down. The New York Democrat faces pressure from both parties after he admitted tweeting sexually charged messages and photos to at least six women and lying about it.

In a recent poll of registered voters in Weiner's district, 56 percent said he should stay in office while 33 percent said he should go. A spokeswoman for Wisconsin's other senator, Democrat Herb Kohl, said he was traveling Friday and not immediately available for comment.

9. Normally I refer to him as Dumbass
but just this once, for the sake of this post, I'm using his name. He's the guy who thinks sunspots cause global warming but doesn't really believe in global warming.

10. The controversy DOES distract from economic issues.
Senator Johnson missed the true epicenter of the controversy.

He didn't criticize the media for continuing to elevate this story over true issues of crisis facing the country.

13. Johnson truly has nothing intelligent to say about anything.
Since he took Feingold's seat all he has done is oppose Obamacare, oppose the EPA, and now ask Weiner to step down. That's it. The guy is a complete idiot. His ads blamed Feingold for the financial crisis the country is in.
