Mark Foley Demands Weiner's Resignation
I heard that Mark Foley was joining the chorus calling for Weiner's resignation. Mark Friggin' Foley!

Does anybody know if this is true?

1. No, he did not demand his resignation. He pointed out that
after he himself resigned, he received help that really changed his life and suggested that Weiner should also seek help and that it might be better if he resigned to get his life and thoughts in order. All in all, I was impressed with the way he presented his and Weiner's problems. Your lead-in is misleading.

3. Sorry. Admirable is not something Mr Foley will ever have in his 'character'.

4. I said nothing about him being admirable. Re-read my post.

13. I'm not impressed at ALL.
Sounds like he's just pussyfooting around coming outright and demanding Weiner's resignation. He needs to just shut his mouth on this issue. THAT would be impressive.

2. I suspect that Foley hopes that they can get on the same page

5. Well, I certainly do not think Weiner should resign.
However, I find it excruciatingly painful that a man with his future could wreck it so easily. This will blow over and I do hope he comes to grips with whatever caused him to so stupidly endanger his marriage, career and diminish the democratic party at a crucial time. He certainly should not be patted on the back, but neither should he be executed. If I were his wife, I would demand they both go to counseling.

6. Stupidity is indeed the key, along with the implication of egomania
a la "it's okay if I do it" or "I won't get caught."

In the grand scheme, his greatest "crime" here is easily dwarfed by the least wrongdoing by any of several dozen Republicans, but try telling that to the Liberal Media.

11. Try telling that to the terribly concerned DUers who have flooded the board
Trying to convince us Anthony must go.
