Banning Twitter
With all the risks associated with Twitter, I'm surprised that corporations allow their employees to have that software on their hand-held devices. Maybe we'll see a backlash against exposure of important corporate secrets. As has been pointed out here, if you hit the wrong button when using Twitter, there's no Undo function.

Does Twitter serve an important enough social purpose to justify a corporate exception?

1. Unless you're going out of your way to tweet company secrets, what danger is there?
It's not like Twitter just randomly grabs things off your phone. You have to very deliberately send something to it.

5. Not *really*.
You can delete it, but cached records can retain anything you Tweet.

8. Better to ban employees from saying dumb and/or unauthorized statements
The problem isn't the software. The problem exists between the keyboard and the chair.
