I'll be meeting with Jennifer next week. I'd like to help her in her run for the State Senate seat now held by randy Randy.

What planks do you suggest she have in her platform? What should she be saying to energize voters?

1. Screw planks.
Make sure she has read, and really understands, Drew Westen's book The Political Brain. Seriously. Elections are won on the basis of gut reactions, and our side needs to figure out how to operate on that level in our communications.

2. Wasn't randy Randy
the one that said "I hope the blue collar workers are sleeping on election day"
Would make a great slogan or attack ad.

4. Actually that wasn't Hopper...BUT
Hopper is the one whose wife told recall petitioners that he was living with his mistress. there's lots of dirt on him...

5. You're right, just checked on it
it was Sen. Dan Kapanke.
"In a secretly recorded talk to La Crosse County Republicans last week, Kapanke said he is hoping that all the public employees in his district “are sleeping” on election day".
