I am waiting to see if my Mother and brother are going to lose their home

We are on the Missouri..and the water is rising and it will stay high for 2 months..

1,000 lb sandbags being brought in by helicopters.

1100 families already evacuated.

it looks miserable..and the work ahead is hard.. but you just have to dig in and fill bags and clean up the mess when the water finally goes down.

Throwing our hands up in the air is not an option.

but you are right about the family mementos and pictures..they are all here right now.. and it is a slow rise because of the water release at the Yankton Dam..

(TV & Print/Web) has stopped reporting on the situation.
