Glenn Beck Calls for Revolution - Says Left Wants a Violent Revolution
Glenn Beck returned from his holiday break Tuesday and promptly disconnected the red phone he had installed on the set of 'The Glenn Beck Program' (weekdays, 5 PM ET on Fox News).

Beck had installed the phone in hopes that progressive leaders would call the show and offer their reassuring counter-arguments to the economic gloom and doom Beck regularly preaches on-air.

"They never called, they never will call, I'm not waiting for their call anymore," Beck said, before disconnecting the phone.

"The left wants a violent revolution," Beck continued, seemingly emboldened by the symbolic disconnecting of the phone. "Tonight, I am going to issue my own call for a revolution, except this call is for a personal revolution. And let it begin right now!"

Guess the rodeo clown doesn't have enough blood on his hands from past 2 years!

7. On radio he's bombing in East Coast markets
pulled from NY radio then this.

What's more, by Jan. 17 Beck is all but certain to be off the air in another major U.S. market, Philadelphia. When it was announced last fall that Philly's WPHT, then known as "The Big Talker," was adopting a more locally oriented format and dumping both Beck and Sean Hannity, there was widespread speculation that another local station would rush to pick up the right-wing free agents. That hasn't happened, and their Philadelphia run is slated to end next week.

And there's also evidence that New York and Philadelphia are not a fluke, that Beck is bombing generally in the nation's population center on the Eastern Seaboard. Check out his latest results in Boston:

Despite a lineup featuring Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, conservative-based "Rush Radio" has yet to gain any traction with listeners in liberal Boston. The latest Arbitron PPM rankings have Clear Channel's WXKS-AM (1200) mired toward the bottom of the Beantown ratings heap, with an overall 0.7 (age 6+ AQH) in the November PPM and a cume of 81,000. The Boston Herald slices that down further, noting a mere 0.2 rating and 45th place in the 25-54 demographic. That's lower than when the AM station played Spanish music.

12. "lower than when the AM station played Spanish music"

I'd rather listen to static than Glenn Beck.

Someone should advertise "the soothing white noise channel" at a non-broadcasting frequency, and then see how many listeners prefer it.

3. Uhm... most progressives don't watch the show
And I don't think any care about giving him a counter argument. It's useless to argue with the insane.

4. In order for revolution, there has to be movement. As in from the chair.
When you're busy fighting the "War of Ideas", you can't exactly stick it to the MAN!

10. Personal revolution? Like, be sure to catch ATF when they try to touch my pee-pee while I sleep?
I really can't think of any other way Beck could achieve a "personal revolution".

11. Glenn Beck wants to kill liberals and send them away to camps.
What the FUCK more does the FBI need to arrest this terrorist!? Maybe they could, for just a few minutes, pry themselves off of non-violent protesters and union leaders to arrest a man that just called for a REVOLUTION on TVEE!?!?!

If the FBI does nothing against Beck, it is proof they follow a RWing agenda that Dick Cheney built.

when they have to face down an Abrams tank pulling into their driveways and Beck crying as he's being led away in chains.

16. Beck's talking points are not random enough
Edited on Wed Jan-05-11 06:15 PM by felix_numinous
to be coming from the mind of an insane ranter. He is a berserker weapon and for now a perfect tool who broadcasts information exactly meant to interrupt any momentum on the left. Rove, cointelpro, Murdoch&Co or whoever they call themselves these days are using Beck to create chaos--and this is unconscionable.

This man definitely has blood on his hands, he has to be taken off the air--and whoever is behind this sort of propaganda has to be held responsible and stopped.

18. Who on the left has said that?
I would love to see someone ask him that. So some non-existent leftie is calling for a violent revolution so obviously the only reasonable thing to do is call for one yourself. Can anyone imagine what would happen if Keith Olbermann called for a revolution on his show?

21. The "left" affirmatively called for violent revolution by not calling Glenn Beck's "hotline"
It takes an uncommon mind to think of things like this, and Glenn (the extra "n" is for knowledge!) has a thought process that most folks can't fathom, nor should they even try. Think: squirming like a toad.

19. His ratings will drop even lower now.
Like it or not, Weeper of the House, John "Vitamin C(ry)" Boehner is the face of Congress. Let's see if his empty rhetoric plays well now that the Republicans have their hands on the joystick. Methinks that all right-wing media will take a hit especially if the Democrats, FOR ONCE, play the PR game smartly...
