Alabama residents to decide if they want racist laws removed from State Constitution

In the State of Alabama's constitution there still exits language/laws calling for the legal separation of schools based on race, and for the poll tax.

The laws of course have not been enforced since Federal law overrides State Constitutional law on such matters.

Now the Alabama legislature has decided to remove the outdated laws from the State Constitution. And the new Constitutional amendment now must be approved by Alabama state voters.

2. WAKA, as in the rapper Waka Flocka Flame?
But OK, I admit I hold a slightly negative opinion about Southern voters, but I don't think they're THAT bigoted...I mean they'd vote for same-sex marriage bans but not Jim Crow laws, in my opinion.

3. This is why there is a limit on "states rights"
and the matter of slavery could not be decided by the states.
