War Money should stop!
End the War in Iraq and Afghanistan and all the other so called "needs" from the Pentagon.

Instead of being worried about Weiner and Palin side shows, our federal government should be ready and well-funded to help the thousands of people who are suffering now from climate change.

It is not an "if" it will happen, it's happening NOW.

The super-tornado outbreak that happened in April is an example. Today more heat records were broken.

Help People not the Pentagon.

2. Not just the Southland hit by tornadoes
Record-breaking severe weather is happening everywhere. Temp records broken in all directions...too cold, too hot.

There's something up when records are broken daily and yearly.

3. On May 25th, the House - by a 4/5ths majority, voted to give
the Department of Defense another $690 billion for 2012.

It's total fantasy to think the national debt can ever begin the shrink even a little if this black hole - the DoD's waste, fraud and abuse of American taxpayer dollars - doesn't stop. Trillions of dollars have simply disappeared, as this agency for over 20 years hasn't created financial records that accurately show where and on what the trillions have been used for.

Article 1, Section 9, clause 7 of the Constitution states:

"No money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular
Statement and Account of Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time."

Congress and Presidents from both sides of the aisle have decided in the case of the DoD the Constitution doesn't have to be followed. Is this an act of treason, an egregious violation of allegiance to our Country? It feels that way...

With this open-purse-no-accountability policy you can count on the US being at war someplace forever.

4. agree
I totally agree. You're right on the mark. We're arguing about
Medicare cuts among so many others when we're still in 2 wars
and one quasi-war!? I can't believe it. The GOP is arguing
about cutting funding for so many programs that are much
needed AND extending tax cuts for the rich...!? Why do people
think this is right? Have they merely forgotten the history of
our country in the last 30 years?! I'm 19 and I can recognize
this..am I crazy? Why is "moderate" America not
getting this? We should be talking about government SPENDING
not cutting. We need a new New Deal. We need to invest in a
transcontinental high speed rail, we need to convert all
federal government buildings to solar power, etc etc. These
are pretty common sense things that can save money in the long
run, but as the saying goes, you need to make spend money to
make it...
