Join the We Are Wisconsin coalition, along with a number of other progressive groups, at Walkerville - a 'city' of tents around the Capitol square calling attention to the devastating state budget cuts to education, health care and other programs benefiting Wisconsin's working families.

The action near the Capitol will begin the evening of Saturday, June 4, at 7 p.m. and will continue throughout the state budget process. Each day will focus on one area that will be harmed by the governor's extreme budget.

•Sunday, June 5, is K-12 public education day (teachers and education support professionals), program starts at 3 p.m.

•Monday, June 6, is public services day (state workers/Council 1, local/county services, police and fire), program starts at 7 p.m.

•Wednesday, June 8, is higher education day (including our technical college members), program starts at 7 p.m.

Suppose the government of Wisconsin completely eliminated disability payments to disabled single parents who are unable to work and who have no adult offspring. Would you protest? Would you say, "Kids are oppressed by laws against child labor. Abolish those laws now! We need more working families"?
