Same with the owner of Politico -- Luke gets most of his internet buzz from Politico -- Robert Allbritton is the son of Bush family patron, Joe Allbritton, who gave GHW Bush his first job at First International Bank after he was fired CIA Chief by Jimmy Carter. Same door opening (special accommodation) was made for the last President in every school and job he ever flunked out of.

It's often overlooked that Joe Allbritton (Riggs Bank) gave G.H.W. Bush his first job right after he was fired by Carter from CIA in 1977. Allbritton appointed Poppy to the Board of First International Bank of Houston, its parent First International Bankshares (d.b.a., InterFirst) of Dallas, and InterFirst's London-based First International Bankshares merchant bank along with its Lichtenstein affiliate. Few people know that long before he joined Carlyle Group, Bush, Sr. was an international merchant banker, and Bush has managed to keep that part of his career very much in the shadows.

Of course, this was an entirely logical move for Bush after he left CIA, as his major accomplishment as head of the Agency was to enter into a financing agreement for the Agency's black operations with the Saudis. Prince al-Turki, head of Saudi external intelligence, and Bush agreed that the Saudis would finance those operations the Democratic Congress had tried to shut down after the Church Commmitee hearings. That Bush-Saudi deal was known as The Safari Club, and it included several third countries including Egypt, Morocco, and France.

Bush soon moved into the Vice Presidency and then the White House. Allbritton's FIB leveraged his Texas bank holdings and purchased DC-based Rigg's Bank and WJLA, the ABC affiliate station in the nation's capitol.

BCCI became the major financial vehicle for The Safari Club, and during the Reagan-Bush years was used to finance the Pakistani atomic bomb and the CIA's secret wars in Afghanistan and Central America, generating a scandal that became known as Iran-Contra. Meanwhile, the Saudis took the opportunity of the S&L crisis, which started as a land speculation bust in the Texas-Oklahoma oil patch, to buy huge amounts of commercial real estate and oil producing land in the Southwest at a steep discount. These holdings got parlayed into ever-larger banking acquisitions in the United States, culmnating in Prince al-Waleed's Kingdom Holdings purchase of a controlling interest in Citicorp, the largest financial institution in the country.

That is the short version of how George H.W. Bush, the CIA's banker, started the process of the partial takeover of the American banking industry (and the colonization of the CIA) by Saudi Arabia.

him. He answered that he did not send the pic to the young lady or anyone else, but he could not say with certainty that the pic was not of him. Russert the Dumb twice (at least) ignored the fact that Weiner said he DID NOT send the pick and kept focusing on the pic and continuing to imply that Weiner would not answer that he did not send it.

Then he kept describing Weiner as aggressively confrontational (my words) and one who attacks Repukes, and that now he has been humbled and subdued. What a fuck.
