Meet the Baby Peregrines
Ugly things but 2nd pic shows what they'll look like as adults

Pip the Hawk Cam hawk is hardly the only new raptor in town. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority released a video guide Wednesday morning to the nine peregrine falcon hatchlings that emerged this spring in wooden nest boxes atop its bridges — three on the Throgs Neck; two on the Verrazano, 693 feet above the ground; and four in a World War II gun turret on the Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge to the Rockaways.

2. Seems like most baby birds are really ugly, but then they grow
up to become something quite beautiful - all of them (with maybe the exception of buzzards).

4. Some of us like vultures!
:D

Some of the quail, shorebirds, and other species that start running around right after they hatch are cute. Most baby birds, notsomuch.

6. Some breeds of chickens are absolutely gorgeous, especially after the cute baby
chick stage wears off.

7. there are peregrine nesting boxes on top of the
engineering building at UW-Milwaukee too. There's a cam set up for them. Google UWM and go to biology dept and follow the links.
