Campaigning/Rallying on a Battlefield where Americans died. DISGUSTING
As a veteran, I am appalled that a battlefield where many people died is being used as a site for a political rally by Sarah Palin.

Anyone else disgusted?

3. Fuck her
I'm supposed the Park Rangers didn't stop her, although she'd probably cry about her first amendment rights where being stepped on. Most national parks have "free speech zones", I believe Gettysburg has one in front of the visitor center. If she was not within that zone, they can have her arrested for trespassing. Is it right, I guess thats a matter of opinion, personally I don't think the national parks are places for politics.

6. This is especially egregious given the incident at the Jefferson Memorial
Where people were quietly dancing to the tunes on their iPods but were arrested with excessive force.

The claim by the Park Service was that the Jefferson Memorial is a place for quiet reflection. How much more of a place for quiet reflection is one of this country's bloodiest battlegrounds?

7. Lincoln had a rally on the field right after the battle.
We got the Gettysburg Address out of it. So I really don't see the problem with her having a rally, too.
