of a bike should know you don't leave it flying loose, it takes forever to get the tangles out.

as a former mountain biker I know (funny story) that you get a seal on the forehead with the helmet to prevent sweat dropping on your face.

as a runner I know that when I run with a hat or visor you have to get it on the forehead or sweat and scratchy occurs.

I realize the "perception is reality" aspect to photo ops so I was wondering about that. Thanks.

16. Yup, the helmet is just "perched" on her hair to prevent "helmet hair".

Anyone whose really worn a helmet of any kind for any length of time knows that it has to fit snugly around the head to really fit which causes that sweat band across the front, and the ubiquitous hair dent. That means you either 1. tie it up to prevent the way your hair looks when take it off and/or 2. you tie it up to prevent the tangles even if you don't care about the ridges and/or 3. you carry around a baseball cap to put on your head after you take off the helmet to disguise the after-effects of long term wear.

Sarah's helmet is perched to minimize helmet hair. It's ridiculous to those of us who "know" but unfortunately, most people don't "know". They may have an unconscious vibe that sometimes off with the way the helmet fits on SP but it doesn't look as ridiculous as Micheal Dukakis unfortunately.

22. Even on my scooter I ride with bangs pushed up under the helmet and hair braided back.

Most bikers I know wrap a bandana around their forehead or wear a do-rag or buff under their helmets. Even going 25-30 miles an hour, a stray bang hair hurts if it hits the eye as you're toodling down the street. Not to mention that hair flying about your face can be distracting as hell.
I wear close-fitting wrap-around sunglasses under my visor and have still gotten a stray hair in my eye if I don't make sure my bangs are pushed all the way under the padding of my helmet or if my helmet is on too loose. Ouch, ouch...the stings...

I may just be a scooter rider, but I'm sure most motorcyclists would agree with me on this - the way she's decked out, she looks like she's posing for a beer commercial.
