1. "No, I have no connection with this company.... "
Might I suggest a connection with our credit cards.

Unfortunately the 4th amendment is too big for a thong.

2. Does anybody actually believe that will keep TSA from feeling up peoples' junk?
I think it will encourage more of that kind of thing.

3. At least you can register your objection
We're never going back to the way it was, and people are already getting used to the idea of a pre-boarding grope. It doesn't have a thing to do with security, but it has a lot to do with crowd control, and is another step down a well-worn path that never ends well.

5. Somebody wasn't thinking ahead.
Just because you get backscattered doesn't mean they can't "pat you down" afterward.

I don't want anyone grabbing my junk, but especially someone I've just called a pervert. :scared:

7. I find this newfound concern about the 4th Amendment quaint and touching.
Edited on Wed Jan-05-11 12:36 PM by Warren DeMontague
Where the fuck have these people been for the past 3 decades? Have they ever heard of the drug war?

The 4th Amendment has been gone for a long time, folks... long before bourgeois concerns about TSA agents seeing all the fat rolls under the wal-mart Justin Beiber t-shirt came into vogue.

8. It's not newfound, it's a battle we've been waging for decades!

9. That's good. But technically having the DEA kick down doors to drag off cancer grannies
for smoking pot is a far more egregious example of 4th Amendment disregard than forcing someone to undergo a search as a condition for boarding a federally regulated airline.

Wisdom and efficacy of the "new searches" that have apparently been put into place in some airports (not the ones I've flown at in the last month) notwithstanding, the 4th Amendment doesn't really apply.

11. Yes, but everything in the country is federally regulated,
so you could eliminate te 4th amendment everywhere with that logic

14. No, actually, everything in the country is not regulated like the FAA is regulated.
For instance, if you're walking down the street and see a "fasten seat belt" sign, you can tell it to fuck off.
