Since the President "negotiated with hostage takers"...

...as in NOT letting the tax cuts for the filthy rich bastards expire...just imagine what is coming.

Since the Obama Administration was an absolute fail at framing the "Bush tax cut" nonsense and equated it with "hostage taking" imagine what we will be giving up when the Repukes hold the debt ceiling hostage?

Shudder
:scared:

6. The Cave-In Was Quick Because it Was a Lame Duck Congress and they Didn't Have Much Time
If everybody's taxes went up and unemployment compensation were cut back, the Democrats would get blamed.
The economy would tank, we would be routed in 2012, and Sarah Palin would become President.

As it was, we at least got an unemployment extension, DADT, and START.
That's a lot more than most of us thought we could get in exchange.

7. There were a LOT of Dems that were opposed. Republicans? I'm not sure I can
think of one.

Recently the North Koreans overplayed their hand and the South called their bluff. I was kind of taken by the phrase the south used after their win. They called it "re-establishing deterrence".

Republicans are going to hold the debt ceiling hostage and Obama could easily adopt a similar bluff-call to put them back in their place. I'd really like to see the president form his lips around the word "no".
