FL Governor Rick Scott and the bad moon rising.
From William March at Fresh Squeezed Politics, more on Rick Scott's trip to Tyson's Corner in northern Virginia during the weekend to meet with the secretive and controversial religious group, the Council for National Policy:

May 20, 2011

.....

The group, founded in 1981 by a group including the late conservative icon Paul Weyrich, doesn’t publish its membership or activities.

But according to various researchers, it has included the nation’s top religious right leaders over the years, from Pat Robertson to James Dobson and Jerry Falwell, as well as businessmen including the Coors brothers and Amway founder Rich DeVos, and political figures from former Attorney General John Ashcroft to Oliver North and Sarah Palin.

But it also reportedly has included more controversial figures including the Rev. Sun Myung Moon of the Unification Church and the late R.J. Rushdoony, a controversial figure who advocated dominion theology and a society run under Biblical law.

The organization has met prior to past presidential campaigns to discuss which presidential candidate the religious right should back and seek to influence religious right groups to fall in line behind that candidate. According to one attendee, however, that wasn’t the purpose of the Friday gathering.

Scott was one of a number of speakers, said that attendee, who didn’t want to be named or to describe in detail the content of the speech because of the organization’s rules on confidentiality of its proceedings.

.....

People are asking questions.

Lots of people.

Calling Rachel Maddow, for we need more investigation on the Council for National Policy and Rick Scott's part in it.

The reckless and cruel destruction Rick Scott has orchestrated in Florida since seizing office 4 months ago leads one to believe he doesn't intend to pass this way again.

It might just be what's up this fraudster's sleeve.

Scott shows off his “governor” boots. His bootmaker has tooled leather for presidents including Jimmy Carter. Link

Because a mere one state's budget just isn't enough for Rick Scott to eye for plunder.

4. Small World.
And very, very bad.

Thanks for the heads-up on Jebthro's beard, seafan. When it comes to evil empires or money and power, there really is only one name on the planet these days.

Know your BFEE: Forget Rev. Wright! It’s Bush and His Cronies Who Owe an Apology for Rev. Moon!

10. Sorry, madfloridian. Time passes and links change...
The good guy has moved a lot of stuff to "King of America.com", according to his new site: http://www.gorenfeld.net/book/. Looks like he has not migrated what formerly was "free content" in order to boost book sales. Can't blame him.

The different content, from what I gather, may have to do with the facts and the law: People get named. They get lawyers. The people with big bucks usually win. Wasn't always that way...

Very interesting read.

Also I noticed that even at his website, his blog link doesn't even work.

8. Living in Florida, I can only tell you that Rick Scott is running a "reign of terror."
He has no problem passing any lunatic scheme because Tallahassee is under Republican control. Whatever Rick Scott wants, Rick Scott gets.

I'm not sure if I can claim that today, Florida is passing some of the most undemocratic, cruel and vicious legislation that has ever been passed in America. Actually, I just don't know what to call some of this legislation, other than insane. And, of course, the national media wouldn't dream of covering any of it.

But you know what's really scary? Many of those who voted for him here don't have a clue as to how thoroughly they, and their children if the have any, are getting screwed. They are totally unaware that Florida may no longer be a part of, what we like to think of as America.

16. I am heartbroken about Florida, now, just heartbroken
Lived in Miami, grew up there, went to state schools...want to move back, relatives there. But I'm afraid to, since I am in a field that will be hit with this maniac's cuts.

I feel like I'm in a hegira until I can move back to Florida. Will there ever be any pushback against this nut?

18. May 23: Rick Scott: 'I am not running for president'.
Whazza matter, Rick?

Did those nosy press questions derail your stealth campaign?

May 23, 2011
AP

TALLAHASSEE - Florida Gov. Rick Scott has added his name to the list of prominent Republicans who say they are not running for president.

There hasn't been much speculation about Scott, who's still learning how to be governor, running.

But that didn't prevent the question from coming up at a news conference on hurricane preparedness Monday.

It was inspired by declarations from a number of top Republicans — most recently Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels — that they won't be running in 2012.

.....

Uhm, AP?

There has been quite a bit of speculation about Rick Scott's veiled intentions for the presidency. Time to brush up on the investigative skills.

Lying in wait. In each sense of the phrase.
