Freeper goes to Orly Taitz's site at work, gets computer virus
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2723176/posts#comment

I visited Orly Taitz' website yesterday to catch up on any news re the various court proceedings she is involved in and immediately a pop-up appeared asking if I wanted to run a script. I closed the browser without responding. Thereafter, everything on my desktop disappeared, the Task Manager was disabled and many important applications were wiped out. This was on my work computer and I had to get an IT guy to look at the PC. It took nearly 4 hours to restore everything. The IT guy said that if it was a personal computer, the machine would have been almost destroyed.

The most probable culprit is democrat operatives who DO NOT want the public learning about Ms. Taitz and the serious fraud allegations she is making about obama.

I just wanted to post this so that others from FR will be careful when visiting her website. Hopefully, Ms. Taitz will do the necessary to protect her site and its visitors but for now I won't be able to visit her site until a remedy is in place.

Comrades! Good work on project OrlyWorm!

7. what sparky doesn't know is.....he was probably infected with a malware program...
and he could've simply restored his computer to an earlier update period (before the malware installation) by hitting F8 on start up. probably would have gotten rid of the script writing program in minutes rather than 4 hours.

But the most interesting intrusions remove all restore points so that you cannot use System Restore to defeat them. Another thing, this being a corporate PC, he probably had to call an IT person anyway, to do anything like System Restore that requires administrative level privileges.

29. Highly possible that orly Tait's site got injecteted with malware links.
It has happened to me on sites I control. I remove the code and patch the hole - but sometimes it gets attacked again.

Even more important to have good antimalware on a PC.

One of the responses:

When posting a “concern” it is best not to appear to be using “concern troll” reverse psychology giving the appearance of pushing FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) at FReepers who may want to go to Orly's site.

9. There were warnings about malware at her website back when I first heard about her.
What was it, about two years ago? How long does it take to get your website cleaned up? I guess you never do if you're Orly.

10. If only the 2nd part of the plan was successful
after the malware infects, the hypnotizing rays coming out of the computer then infect the Freepers mind turning him into a democratic robot poised to do our evil scheming for us!

14. "The IT guy said that if it was a personal computer, the machine would have been almost destroyed"
That's a pretty crappy IT guy then.

By "almost destroyed" did he mean "you couldn't have gotten someone to fix your fuck-up for free"?

The procedure for removing malware is the same whether it's a home or work PC, I do it at least twice a month for work PC's and at least once for people's personal machines.

It's not like the malware looks at the computer and says "this is a PERSONAL computer, now I'm REALLY going to screw things up!!!"

20. Our IT guys say things like that as well. The freeper's obvious response should have
been "Oh yeah? Then how come my home computer can visit this site with no problem, but the virus waltzed right through whatever security system you installed here at work?"

23. Those technicians are pretty stupid then. lol
When I worked the help desk, I always was able to scrub viruses off of machines. When there was a super virus on there, I would just reformat.

Most viruses exploit glitches and vulnerabilities in Windows to get through security systems. I've seen it even on PC's where the user had basically no privileges. It's pretty fascinating, actually.

22. lol I caught that too. Was probably a misquote from the computer illiterate.
All you have to do is make a backup windows thumb or external drive. You can be up and operational within an hour.

I've never heard of a virus toasting someone's hardware. Most viruses are those stupid fake anti-virus programs that try to get you to give them your credit information. You get them from malicious code in ad-banners created by scam companies oversees.

Is he talking about a lobotomy to improve her grasp of reality?

Or is he talking about getting her to drop that democrat lib "Ms." thingy from the front of her name, and to thereby become a more OBEDIENT little Republicon wifey?

So it was DEM DUMMYCRATS that made Orly Taitz's website hazardous to your computer's health?

On the contrary, Freepers. We want you to devote yourselves to her. We want you to chain yourselves to her fortunes. After all, it's worked so well for you in the past, hasn't it?

XXX Monks Unfortunately, Orly jumps in where the water is over her head and makes a laughing stock out of those who know something is wrong with the president's eligibility. One only hopes she will, one of these days, get lucky and do something right. God bless her, though.
