seeing post after post reminded me to send an email to a friend of mine who would seem to be eligible. I asked him if he would write a little note saying if he weren't around come May 22nd then he would bequeath his IPad2 to Wickerman.

So, I got that going for me.

Any emails you need to send out? Anything you are lacking? I mean, I never thought I would want an IPad, but heck, he's not going to use it, and his kids are innocent (under 13) so they'll go, too. And his wife. I hope he's arranged for his cat; I really don't need a cat.

You should had requested that they come by and leave you the IPad2 and a note saying that they gave it to you.

8. Actually, this is a *good* thing. When it doesn't happen it will punch a huge

hole in that bit of theology. Every time a "spiritual leader" declares an event like this and it doesn't happen a small seed of doubt is placed in the underlying theology. This event is large and heavily declared, it will have an effect when it does not happen of opening some minds.

Rapture/end times theology is responsible for a lot of ills.

Book it. It's what always happens in these cases. They will take it not happening as a message from God that the gameplan has shifted, they've still got certain mortal duties to attend to, etc.
