The gold ads on right-wing nutjob radio programs...
I listen to a lot of radio, and there is a rather obvious, mass-advertising campaign
of gold ads on right-wing nutjob radio programs.

Yes, I see and hear gold ads in various places, but the ads are concentrated more on
Fox News Shows and also on right-wing radio--more than any other places.

I don't hear these ads on Progressive radio programs, NPR nor do I hear them on radio
stations that play music.

Glenn Beck is really pushing the gold--through fear and panic. Most of the gold ads
on right-wing programs are fear based.

I was wondering...The neocons and the elites know that these listeners are fools and
idiots who will carry their talking points for them.

Do you think it's possible that they're encouraging these fools to invest in gold--in
order to raise the price significantly--and then eventually these neocon/elites make
millions off of these goofballs who bought into the fearmongering with gold purchases?

It feels like a concerted, advertising and PR campaign to inflate gold prices. They love
to screw us over and they've been into stealing our money lately--this could be a big
scheme--cooked up to enrich themselves and screw over the public yet again.

Am I nuts?

9. If the Republicans refuse to raise the debt ceiling, I am probably going to wish I had gold
if you know what I mean.

4. Well...
I "DO" think the gold fever craze is simply another "bubble" that will soon burst, but in the mean time those on wall street can make huge profits by getting more people to buy gold, raising the price, then they can dump all the gold they bought at lower prices and make a real killing, just like the oil speculators do, but cheap, manipulate the prices up, and then sell high, take your profits, but more when it's cheap and keep on working the profits for as long as you can get away with it, or as long as republicans are in charge of the house and will do "NOTHING" to stop this kind of speculation! The gold bubble will burst soon enough, and those who know what they are doing will make a killing, while those who "think" it will bounce back up will lose their shirts!

The brokers make money either way. Unless the bump in price is well beyond 10 percent, you lose money every time. There is a commission on the buy, a commission on the sell, and unless you buy in large quantity, sales taxes. Further any gains you make are to be reported to IRS for capital gains taxing.

12. Males...Suckers With Money
Firstly, you won't hear Gold ads on NPR since it's non-commercial.

Right wing hate radio is targeted at one of the few remaining audiences that listen to AM radio...white males over 50. Their profile is they have money (or enough to spend the money for the gold) and are looking for "get rich quick" type schemes. Kids don't have the money, women would spend the money on household items. It's all targeted and obviously must work as they keep on going. It's either gold or peen ehancement (maybe a combination of the two...LOL)

14. while waiting to see my doc at the VA
a while back, they had FOX on. It played a gold commercial with G. Gorden Liddy. The Vietnam vet sitting next to me remembered him from Watergate and remarked that "if they have to have felons making their commercials, that's got to be a fucking rip off."
Couldn't have said it better myself.
