Consultants Form Nationwide Progressive Firm
http://www.rollcall.com/news/consultants_form_nationwide_progressive_firm-205767-1.html

A group of 19 progressive Democratic consultants have joined to form Democracy Partners, a nationwide firm that will focus on progressive issue campaigns, civic engagement programs and campaigns to elect Democrats to office.

The firm, which will be officially announced Thursday, includes partners with expertise such as political messaging and organizing, campaign management, TV and radio advertising, earned media, direct mail, and fundraising.

The partners are based in Washington, D.C., Chicago, Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco, San Diego, and Portland, Maine. Robert Creamer, a veteran organizer and strategist and husband to Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), is among the 19 partners.

Others include Renee Schaeffer, a fundraiser and former director of candidate services at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; opposition researcher Brett Di Resta; media consultant Dan Manatt; and Mike Lux, co-founder of Americans United for Change and the OpenLeft blog.
