I know that Bill Gates is a wealthy man, but he's just one man. Will his foundation be able to get the world population level up to a sustainable level before it's too late?

a surplus population (or "reserve army of labor") does that. surplus people are unable to contribute much to society, but they usually aren't drains on it either.

7. Basically, that's what I meant. The more people in the labor
pool, the easier it is for those in power to keep them desperate and underpaid. Don't take everything so literally.
