:Boy found dead in Maine identified as from Texas; mother has confessed to police
The boy who was found dead Saturday along a road in South Berwick, Maine, has been identified as 6-year-old Camden Pierce of Texas and his mother reportedly has offered a confession in relation to his death, according to the Boston CBS affiliate.
The mother, who is speaking to Massachusetts State Police, has been identified as Julianne McCrery of Irving, Texas, according to the station.

A person of interest has been brought into custody in connection with an “on-going investigation in Maine” in the death of an unidentified boy who was found along a South Berwick road, according to the Massachusetts State Police, New England Cable News is reporting.

The station is reporting that police have impounded a dark blue truck registered to a woman in Irvine, Texas, that police were searching for and are questioning a suspect.

NECN says police have a woman in custody but that Massachusetts Police say the woman “hasn’t been charged yet.”

6. Here's the thing, if you look at her fb page it seems clear she loved this kid. There's no drama,
no sign of anything amiss at all. Just looks like a beautiful boy, well loved. Makes me wonder what the hell could have happened.

7. That is just eerie beyond words.
She posted a photo of him in the snow and called him "sweet child."

I just don't get this.

10. In another post said she felt bad for not letting him go out in the cold and mud
but instead told him he had to wait till there was more snow. It didn't show a hint of anger, more like guilt for dashing his enthusiasm, even if it was temporary.

11. This is so heartbreaking. Look at the videos of the little bug on youtube.
There's several on this channel along with a review of her book.

5. This is getting weird...NH has jurisdiction of the case
The boy must've died there and then dumped in Maine? They located the suspect a few minutes away from me. Very unsettling.

12. When the female trooper asked McCrery if she needed assistance, she responded:
"I killed my son. I want to kill myself."

13. If she did have a drug history, could be she gave him too much of mommy's cough medicine
Death by respiratory depression can start out looking like "finally getting some rest" from a brutal cold. She took trips with this little boy and he looks very happy. I guess we'll know more after the autopsy.

14. This is the saddest thing......
I wonder if she was visiting someone in NH? Has anyone heard why she was in New England and not Texas?

15. A little more info here:

"...KXAS-TV in Dallas spoke with McCrery's landlord. The landlord told the NBC affiliate that police in Irving told her that McCrery was taken into custody and that the little boy was dead. The landlord says she called McCrery a week ago and told her that she was in Boston for her aunt's funeral. The landlord also told KXAS that the boy's father was killed a couple of years ago in a motorcycle accident.

17. such a sad sad story
poor little thing. What happens to people to make them snap like this. All information as of now points to the fact that this was a healthy well-cared for little boy. This stuff breaks my heart.
