Newt has risen from the dead more times than Dracula
Edited on Wed May-18-11 03:28 PM by Cyrano
Anyone who thinks he's finished is dreaming.

He's a hero to every flavor of wingnut that ever existed. And they'll always find explanations to forgive him, or defend him, and to stay with him until he's dead and buried with a stake driven through his heart -- umm -- driven through his chest.

Newt is to humans as fleas are to dogs. He will never go away. And the scariest thing of all is, what if this creature gets into the White House? After all, Bush Jr. made it there -- twice.

1. He hasn't been resurrected this time except in his own mind.
I don't think Newt was ever a serious contender, and my opinion is bolstered by the fact that the man can't dance fast enough to get out of his own way. Any remaining political career in Newt's future remains only in his imagination.

He's out of step with the wingnut fringe, and that was always his bread and butter. He's finished.

Either you are wrong or I am. Time will tell.

2. The only candidate they have that scared me is Huntsman
The rest are clearly buffoons and charlatans. Includes his Newtness.

5. And Huntsman is not a household name.
Yet, anyway. Name recognition is 65% of the battle, and Huntsman doesn't have it.

11. Neither did Clinton at this stage in the Primary
That's not important until later.

6. Actually, Newt has never risen to the kind of kingmaker
he was in his heyday . The fact that he gets up over and over again doesn't necessarily mean he's gaining power every time he gets up.

7. This is a country that elected George Bush, Twice
Granted, he probably stole the first one, but the fact that it was close either time is something all of American should be ashamed of.

If Bush can win, Newt can win.

8. I'm voting for the real Vampire - Jonathan Sharkey

< quote = Sharkey's campaign website >

Politicians are blood-sucking anyways, right?

Yes, he's a REAL independent candidate for the presidency.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathon_Sharkey

Jonathan Sharkey is the founder and leader of the Vampire, Witches, and Pagans Party (VWP). His valuable work has promoted the public awareness and acceptance of Satanistic super-humans and has contributed greatly to the strength of the aforesaid individuals.

I think whichever one of these clowns gets the nomination should choose Cheney as the VP. Because Cheney is the "walking dead" now that he has no pulse.

9. I can only hope he is the nominee. His affairs resonate due to their proximity to Clinton.
Lots of mileage to be had in tying the family values crowd to the actions he took because he loves his country too much.

I think most republicans are "keepin their powder dry" for 2016. The President is in a very good position lately and whoever goes up against him will not go in 2016. If you really think you havr a chance, like the huckster, you're waiting.

10. Time to bury him face down
at the crossroads wearing a garlic necklace. That is supposedly a good way to deal with vampires. :D
