GOP stops bill to eliminate subsidies to oil conglomerates.....
The only place I saw any reporting on this was a short blurb on Yahoo news this morning. Major media didn't even note there was a vote.(as far as I know) The vote was 52-48 to stop the subsidies of billions to a very profitable business that has no allegiance to anyone, and who is in control of our government. Meanwhile the news media is very accessible to all the scumbags who want to eliminate any social programs that separate us from finally dropping to the third world status.

5. The post is technically correct
Thanks to the procedures of the Senate, the bill required 60 votes in order to pass. The final vote was 52-48 to stop the subsidies, causing the bill to fail.
