may have just elected their first black mayor in a heavily-republican city run by First Baptist Church Downtown. Alvin Brown (D) is leading by 600 votes with all precincts reporting, only the provisional and absentee ballots are left (which they will count tomorrow).

Even if he should lose, I think that this close race proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Rick Scott has left a very bad taste in the voters' mouths.
