61. Here's what they believe will happen...
(from the family radio website faq's...)

snip

What will take place on May 21?

On May 21, 2011 two events will occur. These events could not be more opposite in nature, the one more wonderful than can be imagined; the other more horrific than can be imagined.

A great earthquake will occur the Bible describes it as "such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great." This earthquake will be so powerful it will throw open all graves. The remains of the all the believers who have ever lived will be instantly transformed into glorified spiritual bodies to be forever with God.

On the other hand the bodies of all unsaved people will be thrown out upon the ground to be shamed.

The inhabitants who survive this terrible earthquake will exist in a world of horror and chaos beyond description. Each day people will die until October 21, 2011 when God will completely destroy this earth and its surviving inhabitants.

snip
*************

People actually believe this crap?

Annette :::shaking head:::

64. I'm ready.
Some of this scares me, since I was raised in a Southern Baptist environment. I am afraid I might be pre-saved.

I don't want to go anywhere.

All my life, I have been collecting books, guitars and cars.

I want to stay here and hang around with all of my treasures.

Do you think I should go out on the Plaza and renounce my childhood?

I just want to break even.

In fact, I've got my eyes on two of them at this time. One is white, that white white with a maroon interior, I think it's a 2005. an older couple owns it and I've asked them to leave the keys on the kitchen counter along with their wallets, pin numbers and pertinent info. The second is a british racing green with a black interior. I believe it might be too hot here in Floriduh for that one, but we'll see. I haven't approached the owners about it yet either. I think they're pagans or something.

When the rapture time comes, crossing the International Date Line, will we get news feeds from Asia as the good people of Asia go about their business as usual? Will the rapturists start freaking out if they are not seeing people float away into the sky or vaporizing before the cameras?

We'll go past midnight to make sure our timing isn't off. We are having about 150 folks over for a lot of wine, food and music.

Unfortunately, we have quite a few 'pub friends (inescapable in Wine Country) and I want to watch them ascend.

Check out this great article from our local rag.

win,but losing the game to the Cubs won't bother me too much because of the history involved.

Think about it,the Cubs' first time at Fenway since September 11,1918.

No matter who wins,we can then all go out and "rapture".

I have a lot of east coast friends (both there and here) so the trashtalking is always a good time.

I just hope the rapture thing is after the game. It would truly suck if it happened at the bottom of the ninth in a tie game. "Jesus Christ! Could you just wait a minute?!" would take on a more urgent tone than normal.

72. What kind of Christians are those in the picture?
A true Christian, if given the choice of being lifted up to heaven while the rest of us go through an unbearable torture and hardship, or staying back and helping those who are suffering would choose to stay behind every single time. That is what their Jesus would do. The asshats who believe they are candidates to ascend to heaven are deluded, hypocritical fucks who clearly think they are superior to the rest of us. I, for one, will be pretty pleased when an uneventful Saturday passes and they realize how wrong their selfish, mean spirited fantasy was.

30. Deborah Harry had this to say about it:

Toe to toe
Dancing very close
Barely breathing
Almost comatose
Wall to wall
People hypnotised
And they're stepping lightly
Hang each night in Rapture

Back to back
Sacrailiac
Spineless movement
And a wild attack

Face to face
Sadly solitude
And it's finger popping
Twenty-four hour shopping in Rapture
