Basically it's a giant advertising campaign for their stupid radio station, trying to generate volume through controversy.

1. I'm not sure of that. Profit doesn't explain Miller and the Millerites who
went through almost precisely the same thing in the 1840s.

2. I figure there will be an end time for the same amount of people as any other day.

but not any more or less then any other day.

Although my view is that the end times happen through all time after first death, or that is my view of how it makes sense.

Since not a generation will pass away without seeing the end, and nobody knows the time of the end.

Although the 40,000 is just a number from a song, not sure how many people pass on everyday. figure 6 billion people average life of 70 years, 365 days, would seem more people would die every day then that.

Although I think it is better for people to think how they can live there lives with thought and feeling, then think on topics like death.

Although this is a favorite song.

I think dispensationalism is an error of limiting God to frames of time. Something the same doctrine says does not apply by forgiveness before and after crucifixion of Christ. There is no linear time to that concept.

I think money backed that thought becuase it got people off the teachings of the gospels, and thinking about end times stuff, when I don't think that should be the focus.

Maybe I am wrong, people might think differently on that.

3. Yeah, but the entertainment value alone is PRICELESS. See, for
example, this post-Rapture Looting Event on Facebook. (Over 28,000 people have signed up):

4. DING DING DING - We have a Winner
a retired friend of mine took off on the caravan criss crossing the US preaching the end times for that guy. I talked to his daughter to make sure my friend's assets - house, car harley, had not been sold off donated to the so called church.

Nope they were in the care of his family and all the bills were set up on automatic pay from his bank

8. Of course, and the cool thing is
it is unlikely that there is any legal liability for failing to deliver the product. Its a capitalist nirvana.
