Analyst: Sell! Goldman Shares Drop After Rolling Stone Article
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/blogs/national-affairs/analyst-sell-goldman-shares-drop-after-rolling-stone-article-20110512

Well, looky here: Goldman’s Shares Drop Sharply After Downgrade blares New York Times' Dealbook blog.

Noted financial industry analyst Richard X. Bove slashed his price target on Goldman Sachs shares and changed his rating to sell, saying that pressure was building for the Justice Department to take action against the investment bank.

Bove writes:

The new Matt Taibbi article in Rolling Stone magazine is another all-out attack on the company. However, this time the attack is backed by a 650-page Senate report signed by both a Democrat and a Republican.

12. Dick Bove is a well known financials analyst.
He harshly criticized Citi because V Pandit would not meet him. He moved to Rochdale from a TARP firm to escape bonus scrutiny.

8. If the Justice Department doesn't investigate and bring charges
as a result of Taibbi's articles then we know for a fact that they are politically owned and will never, ever do anything about the corruption coming out of Goldman Sachs.

take to many risks they go under and that "polices" them. But they do more than that. The go after Democrats and support policy which is bad for Americans and the world: think of climate change denial and funding the gop god, guns and gays agenda. And nothing stops them.

Glad to see GS loose some of that coveted goodwill. At least something is biting them back in little ways.

11. Sounds to me like Mr. Bove is doing some PR for Gpldman.
Only a hack characterizes a factual expose of a powerful predatory corporation as "another all-out attack on the company."
