2. Amarillo is having a Mayoral race today
There's a real possibility that one of the eleven candidates, a Transgender Woman, might win - or at least garner enough votes for a runoff!

I'm pretty jazzed about it. :hi:

6. I lived in that area growing up in Dallas!
Do you remember the Melrose Hotel, at the corner of Oak Lawn and Cedar Springs? I grew up there since my dad was hotel manager there at the time. That was a very long time ago, of course...

I worked on Cedar Springs! Lovely, intimate hotel. I never stayed there but I always wanted to. I definitely drank cocktails at the The Library a few times.

I worked at the other end of that street a couple blocks down from there. The restaurant doesn't exist anymore. The place closed and J.R.'s bought the venue and tore down the walls to expand. But it was a most wonderful Sicilian pizza place called Ciao. Do you remember that? Round window? Pink neon?

10. Oh, I lived there a very long time ago, before your time I am sure.
I grew up there in the 50s and left in the 60s for the east coast. My father retired and my parents moved to NW Dallas so I lost touch with that neighborhood...

sorry to say...it sounds like a very vibrant, creative community has taken root in my old neighborhood. I am glad. I left Dallas for the northeast because, at the time, I felt Dallas was on the back end of history, not leading in the forefront...

12. Yeah
I lived and worked there during the 80's. So it was after you left. At the time Dallas had some tremendously cool areas and I got work in them all. Lower Greenville, Oak Lawn and Deep Ellum - there was a serious burgeoning awesomeness and those were some of the best years of my life. :hi:

Vision To America is a division of Christian Worldview Communications, LLC. Founded in 2006 by Gary DeMar and Brandon Vallorani, Vision to America exists to help America return to our Founding Father’s vision for a Christian Republic. America was once a light to the world—a place that God blessed with liberty and prosperity. Today, Americans are taught that the Almighty State has all the answers. As a result, our God-given liberties are being traded for a false sense of security. It is our Vision to see Americans once again recognize that we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights and that this Creator is the God of the Bible.
