CONS think it is "our oil"
And now apparently the President does also:

The fact is folks...increasing oil production in the USA does virtually nothing to the price of gas at the pump.
It is not "our oil" once it is pumped by the multi-nationally owned oil giants and enters the world oil market where it doesn't make a dent.

1. Obama knows that it is suicidal to burn fossil fuels -- where is he taking us?

2. Here are a few more links to the Obama's "DRILL, BABY, DRILL" Alaska and Gulf -- !!
UPDATE 1-Obama seeks more drilling in Alaska, Gulf of Mexico

WASHINGTON, May 14 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama, under pressure from Republicans and the public to bring down gasoline prices, announced new measures on Saturday to expand domestic oil production in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico.

Gasoline prices are high because we now permit speculation on commodities --

but evidently no one is making that clear to the public -- ????

3. Increasing oil production in the US does nothing to the price of fuel...
because the US uses 20 million barrels of oil a day and produces c. 5 million barrels of crude oil and another 4 million barrels a day of natural gas liquids and ethanol. Which means that over half of all the oil used by the US is imported. Reliance on imports coupled with resistance to reducing demand make the situation one that won't change at all in the future.
