CNN's John Roberts to join Fox News
http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/john-roberts-expected-to-join-fox-news-channel_b46199

Former CNN “American Morning” anchor John Roberts is expected to join FOX News Channel as a senior national correspondent, based in Atlanta.

He will be reporting on major domestic and international stories for the network.

In December, CNN announced that Roberts would be departing “American Morning,” and would instead be moving to the network’s Atlanta headquarters to be closer to his fiancee, CNN dayside anchor Kyra Phillips.

-------

Wow, Fox News is a long way from his start in Toronto as MuchMusis Veejay and then anchor at hippy station City-TV.

1. And you wonder why CNN, CBS, NBC, and ABC give Faux News credibility?
They *all* have staff that wanna work for Murdoch.

They are trying to get PAID.

3. When "journalism" becomes your pathway to riches, you've lost what it means to be a journalist.
What do they teach in journalism school?

4. Journalism has never been a credible profession
No standards, no certification. Whoever owns the outlet sets the agenda, be it private or the government.

7. true, they're sorta revolving doors to Fox
Before they went to Fox News:
- Bill O'Reilly reported for local TV stations, CBS, and ABC during the '70s and '80s and hosted Inside Edition (a show syndicated by CBS). "We'll do it live!"
- Glenn Beck hosted a CNN Headline News program (2006-2008) and was a regular guest on ABC's Good Morning America around the time.
- Chris Wallace reported in Washington for NBC during the '80s and ABC during the '90s and early '00s then arrived at Fox News in 2003.
- Greta Van Susteren was a legal analyst for CNN for 8 years before she began hosting her Fox News show in 2002.
- John Stossel used to push his libertarian advocacy through ABC's 20/20 before going to Fox News and Fox Business Network around 2009.
- ABC syndicates Sean Hannity's radio show.
- Juan Williams did commentary for NPR simultaneously with Fox News for years before NPR fired him recently for saying "I get scared when I see men wearing Muslim garb on airplanes" or something like that. Immediately, Fox News hired him as a regular commentator.
- Monica Crowley did political commentary for NPR before becoming a regular at Fox News.
- And now you have a former CBS and CNN reporter (whose name is the same as Bush's chief justice nominee) coming into the corrupt toxic dump.

On the brighter side, MSNBC reporter David Shuster used to work for Fox News and now openly criticizes FNC.

2. I've always thought he had that "someone hep me, I've been hip no tized!" look.
He'll be a perfect fit for FOX. Most CNNers would be, unfortunately. The Media stinks, imo.

6. LOL...
sorry, I do that when I see those two words combined, "fox" and "news".

I guess it's not too much of a change from where he's coming from, just a little more irrelevancy, combined with a lot more hysterics.
