I couldn't close my browser fast enough and now am emotionally scarred for life.

1. It was rather unsettling when I viewed it.
I thought cattle were taken down with one "humane" shot to the head. I didn't know they were beaten to death with sledgehammers and pickaxes!

I never forget seeing and hearing those calves crying out for their mommies! :cry:

3. That is not normal practice.
The Bolt Gun is the tool of choice for most cattle slaughter.

But 'Most' cattle slaughter is fucking inhumane, anyway. The Bolt Gun is the best thing that happens to the calves in the whole process.

Googling "Dairy's Dark Side" leads to http://www.mercyforanimals.org/dairy/">this article about Mercy For Animals' investigation. It's graphic but not extreme. There's a nine-minute documentary on Youtube, lots of discussion, etc. but nothing I can identify as an ad.

Where is it?
