Wisconsin - SOS Doug LaFollette needs your support !!!!

It seems if you defy Scott Walker, he'll try to destroy you...

<snip>

Madison, Wisconsin -- We have had many heroes in the fight against Scott Walker and his Republican minions since that day when a small group gathered inside the Capitol and ignited a movement unrivaled in Wisconsin’s history. From the Fab 14 to the hundreds of thousands of people who gathered in and around the peoples’ house and endured snow storms from mother nature and political storms from a dictator like administration. Today one of our un-sung heros is facing an assault by the Walker Administration’s attempt at disassembling the office of Secretary of State.

If you remember the night that the republicans rammed through the Collective Bargaining Law in a special session -- then you should remember who was responsible for not hopping on Walker’s High-speed Railroading of Wisconsin.
Doug Lafollette, by merely doing his job (as he always had since he was elected to the office in 1974) -- has garnered the ire of Scott Walker by not publishing the law immediately as ordered by the King. Think about that for a moment folks! Doug Lafollette has dutifully attended to his elected position for almost 37 years. This is not an appointed position. He is elected by the people of Wisconsin. That says a lot about the public confidence in an office that has never been drawn into scandal or been accused of wrong doing and says even more about the person charged with running it.

Scott Walker should be giving this man an award but instead wants these items removed from the Secretary of State

These are the issuance of Notary Commissions and the filing of Trademarks. These functions are performed by 47 and 46 Secretaries of State respectively throughout the United States and removing them from the SOS office in Wisconsin would lead to great confusion. If this is allowed to happen it would cause great disruption of these important services.

King Walker's ultimate plan is to remove the office entirely through legislation of AJR 26. This proposed legislation essentially eliminates the SOS office which is in line for the kings’ throne should the Governor or Lieutenant Governor be unable to perform their duties. Obviously this action is for self preservation.

1. If the Bush/Cheney dictatorship had been held accountable, Wisconsin would not be subjected to this
abuse of power. Nor would the other states being abused by teabagger governors. The constant public outcries for impeachment were IGNORED. This is an example of the abuse of which people were afraid would continue. It's not only continuing, it's multiplying.

From the Declaration of Independence:

But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

2. You're right.
I always figured Obama was waiting for his 2nd term to get them (while DOJ was building up proof for charges) but you are right, we should have slapped them with charges.
