Republicans accused Saddam of aiding terrorist because

he geve money to widows whose husbands were suicide bombers..IMO it was a humanitarian deed and in no way supported the terrorist act itself or those that committed terrorism..To Republicans though it was direct support for terrorism and that was their main basis for attacking Iraq..I suppose in some really broad sense a man might feel he could become a terrorist if he knew his widow would get some assistance but that is really stretching things....Was Saddam wrong in giving aid to those widows?
