Nightclub Hopes To Cut Crime By Changing Name, Music Playlist
UPPER ARLINGTON, Ohio — City Council members voted on Monday night to stop a plan to strip a nightclub of its liquor permit as long as it changes its name and plays pop music.
The Columbus Dispatch reported Tuesday that the club, formerly known as Onyx, would change its name to Posh.
Noise complaints, arrests and two shootings have occurred at the nightclub in the past year at the nightclub, located in a shopping center off Henderson Road, 10TV News reported.
According to the newspaper, the club can only play music selected from the playlist at WNCI (97.9 FM) and cannot play music deemed "gangsta rap."
