Osama bin Laden was special
Edited on Mon May-09-11 04:05 PM by ProSense
No one gave a shit that these terrorists were killed.

Al Qaeda's two top Iraq leaders killed in raid

Top Al Qaeda Commander Killed In Afghanistan

In fact, when most of these top terrorists were killed, the only debate that followed was: Again?

On edit, bin Laden is dead. Good riddance!

1. And who offed both of them? That's right, the "weak on defense", "secret Muslim", or ...
as I prefer to refer to him, the Commander-in-Chief and the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama.

6. And they were chump change compared to OBL...
Edited on Mon May-09-11 04:42 PM by JuniperLea
This whole outrage is on my last fucking nerve.

I was ambivalent at first, but the more these asshats try to cut Obama down for this, the more I agree with the Dali Lama... "Forgiveness doesn't mean forget what happened. … If something is serious and it is necessary to take counter-measures, you have to take counter-measures."

4. So you approved of those killings?
What made a house in Iraq stormed by troops a battlefield?

Osama bin Laden was in a compound directing attacks. That he chose to locate it there show just how fucking evil he was, deserving of the fate he met.

Nor did you answer this question: So you approved of those killings?

12. You avoid owning that those people were killed in a war zone
because that accounts for the reaction to their deaths.

That's fine but it's also very lazy.

Where? I asked you a question. In fact, you could even infer the equivalency to bin Laden's compound and a war zone (target).

And you still didn't answer the questions:

So you approved of those killings?

What made a house in Iraq stormed by troops a battlefield?

17. Are you unaware that we have been at war in Iraq?
It doesn't matter if I approve of it or not, which I never have. That is the situation. And that is why the war zone deaths of those people were not scrutinized in the same way.

Obviously.

18. Hmmm?
"It doesn't matter if I approve of it or not, which I never have. That is the situation. And that is why the war zone deaths of those people were not scrutinized in the same way."

So when you responded to the OP saying that "they were killed in a war zone" you were speaking on behalf of others?

How do you know what other people are thinking, especially since an overwhelming majority of people responded to the death of bin Laden in ways similar to the death of any terrorist?

Still, thanks for clearing that up.

5. And most people don't give a shit that Bin Laden is dead
Edited on Mon May-09-11 04:45 PM by Cali_Democrat
In fact, 80% didn't give a shit in a recent NBC poll.

7. Good to know
Looks like Chomsky, Greenwald, Yoo and others lamenting his death are in a group that most likely includes a majority of teabaggers.

11. Just as I figured...
you totally misrepresented that poll. 80% APPROVED of killing bin Laden:

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/05/09/6612049-nbc-poll-80-said-it-was-the-right-decision-to-kill-bin-laden

You should be ashamed of yourself.

15. Correct, only 9 percent did not care.
and 11 percent opposed. So that would 89 percent either approved or didn't give a damn.

25. Do you actually think NBC would have conducted a poll asking people if they "give a shit?"
My post was not meant to be taken literally, obviously.

Of the 80% of people that approve of Bin Laden's death, I'm sure most if not all of them don't care that Bin Laden's body is now among the fishies in the deep blue sea.

16. Link to poll in which NBC asked 'do you give a shit'.
That seems unlikely as can be. Few seem apathetic about it, most seem glad the criminal is no longer among the living. No one I know has said 'I don't give a shit'.

I would assume that the 80% of the people that approved of taking him out don't care that he's dead, but that's my interpretation.
