Michelle Obama does the Dougie with students as part of Let's Move
What I like about Michelle Obama is her energy and her commitment to getting kids into action through Dance. I loved the Old Jazzercize Excersizes that seemed to give way to Pilates and Yoga..(which neither were "active" enough for me and what I needed for exersize).. I think Michelle has hit something here about "MOVE!" because Dance is Joyous and is a Relief of Expression when you can "just cut loose...you lose your worries and troubles in the rhythm."

I love her for her INDEPENDENCE...even though I realize that not being "Eleanor Roosevelt" in these times is something that could be haunting...down the road.

BUT..."DANCE, DANCE and SING or LISTEN TO MUSIC AND SING AND DANCE. It keeps us healthy and releases the deamons. She's really onto something, here. We would be better off if we Danced and Sung to whatever Songs we could find to nourish our souls.

I give credit to Michelle for finding her "grounding" and for working to inspire another generation.

Michelle Obama does the Dougie with students as part of Let's Move
May 3, 2011 | 5:12 pm

Michelle Obama is so serious about her Let's Move campaign to fight childhood obesity that she led by example Tuesday by dancing with a field full of students in the nation's capital.

While Beyoncé's "Move Your Body" blasted over a sound system at Alice Deal Middle School, the first lady went through a series of dance moves, from the old-school Running Man to the newest craze, the Dougie, to the delight of the youngsters who sashayed along with her.

"Beyoncé is one of my favorite performers on the planet. And when she agreed to remake her video and do this Let's Move flash workout, I was so excited, because this is what we've been talking about -- that exercise and moving can be fun," Obama told ABC News.

2. She is very cool...but, most of all ...she is "grounded" and that's something that's a good thing

for females to think about. How do we stay "grounded and still find joy and flights of FREEDOM in times that are so dark and gloomy.

That's what I like about Michelle. She can free her soul from the "dark stuff."

But, I also feel that Michelle doesn't NOT for "one minute" understand the terribleness of our culture. She is doing what she can to make something GOOD about all of this. Her head is on straight and her heart is with us all.

I'm not so fond of her hubby..(I'm a "wait and see Dem" with him) but Michelle is someone we should all be proud of. She's "moving forward" in all the best ways.

:applause: to Michelle Obama...she's Green, Motion and Health! Plus, she "keeps on keeping on" even when the darkest things her husband is involved with might be incredible...and she has to keep her grounding and sanity..and she does that very well. It's good!

4. I go with Michelle...I think that "she" is the REAL CHANGE...and
her work with Children and trying to show kids how to get "fit" and get off "Fast Food" and the rest is one of the best efforts a first lady has made in a very long time.

Michelle is urging us to "GET UP AND MOVE!" Think about that from all angles. I love her as First Lady and her Spunk when she went off to Spain last year and let Oprah Celebrate her husbands Birthday with Him!

This First Lady is a PowerHouse!

5. BTW..."Power to the FEMALES" and Michelle really does what she wants...and that's a good thing.
It's for the health of the nation. If you look at Michelle's life...she has a very different upbringing that Barack.

Michelle got it since she got that scholarship to Princeton. I lived in Princeton when Michelle was a student there. How she survived that insufferable, snobbish environment and managed to turn out okay and even excell, is a wonder to her. I think she is more grounded than her Hubby. I think Michelle is a huge influence on Obama and she needs support to keep it UP!

Michelle needs support for her good stuff. And, we should give it to her reguardless of what we feel about what is going on with her husband.

First Ladies do have a huge influence .... If you look back "Lady Bird Johnson's Highway Beautification Act" took over decades to implement...but when one drives I-95 from NJ to Florida...you will see the plantings of Trees, Flowers and Shrubs and her effort to "minimize" Billboards along that way. Sad thing is that the "Billboards" got through Congress in the last decade ...but her FLOWERS AND GREENERY survived.

So..Like Eleanor Roosevelt and Lady Bird Johnson...First Ladies can have an effect long after they are gone...as they did when they were just the "Flotus."
